If you're dedicated to making a difference in the world through energy efficiency and sustainable design, we'd like to talk. Our engineering design team strives to deliver world-class, award winning design solutions to both the private and public sectors. We working with the top green and sustainable architects and builders in the Bay Area and the U.S., and with a long list of the leading global technology firms.

How We're Different
Though we're still a relatively small firm, we compete and win against much larger firms who now offer sustainable and green design. We differ from the others in our commitment and focus - we're passionate about sustainable design. We basically want to effect a fundamental change in building practices, one project at a time. Our founder, Peter Rumsey, is well known locally and nationally as a leading proponent of sustainable and energy efficient design. All of our projects have a green, sustainable, or energy efficient focus.

What We're Looking For
The qualities we're looking for in new team members are: passion; curiosity; willingness to constantly learn about sustainable design; an understanding of clients' needs and budgetary restraints; technical skills; familiarity with the latest design tools and HVAC and plumbing solutions; and a desire to make a contribution to the bigger picture.

A Creative Environment
Our office is situated near downtown Oakland, in historic retrofitted brick buildings on the site of the old Oakland Del Monte Canning facility, between Jack London Square and BART, with easy access to the freeway. We've recently doubled our space, and share an open creative environment, complete with state-of-the-art hardware and software modeling tools, a pool table and access to sunny patios and common areas. We're a totally green office, and are conscious of the simple ways in which we can build a better environment and save energy. We're a certified Alameda County Green Business, and have a complete recycling program.
