Supersymmetry to Become Rumsey Engineers, Inc.

Oakland, Calif.— Supersymmetry, a leading San Francisco Bay Area-based heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) design engineering firm, is changing its name to Rumsey Engineers, Inc., effective May 1, 2001.

According to Supersymmetry president Peter Rumsey, the new name is not a break from his company's past but a natural evolution into its future. "As Supersymmetry, we shared a name and a common vision with several other engineering firms in the U.S. and in Asia. Although we still operate by the same environmental and sustainable business philosophies, we thought the time was right to operate under a name that reflects our independence from those other organizations. As Rumsey Engineers, we will be able to capitalize on our company's recent growth and channel that momentum behind a single, viable brand identity."

The company's tremendous success can be traced to its design expertise, which incorporates perfected methods of building energy efficient HVAC systems even in the most demanding environments, like cleanrooms and laboratories, where environmental control is critical.
